AMANGIRI

Natural plant fibers and horsehair gathered from the Amangiri property in the Utah desert were transformed by Alexandra Kohl into a series of handwoven works. Rooted in the landscape, the materials preserve a direct connection to the land and its distinctive natural environment.

The resulting collection of tapestries and furniture was exhibited at the Amangiri Gallery, bringing Kohl’s exploration of traditional craft, natural materials, and contemporary design into dialogue with Amangiri’s architecture and the stark beauty of the surrounding desert.
